Update: Good news! Individual customer service badges are here to stay. If you’ve earned customer service badges in the current month, shoppers will now be able to see them on your shop home page. You can track your progress to earning badges in your Star Seller dashboard.

You work hard to create an amazing experience for your customers, and we’re always looking for ways to highlight all of the great things you do. You can earn individual badges for customer experience when it comes to on-time shipping, quick responses, and 5-star reviews, even if you aren’t a Star Seller just yet (learn more about Star Seller here). We’ll be testing these badges with shoppers over the next few weeks. Read on to learn more.

What’s new

Now, you can earn individual badges for on-time shipping, quick responses, and 5-star reviews. Most sellers can now see new customer service badges in their Star Seller dashboard. Here’s how to earn each badge:

  • Smooth shipping: 95% or more of your orders ship within your stated processing time and with tracking* or you purchased a shipping label on Etsy and you’ve received at least one physical order in the past three months.
  • Speedy replies: You respond to 95% or more of initial messages from buyers within 24 hours (just the first message, not ongoing conversations) and you received at least one message in the past three months.
  • Rave reviews: 95% or more of your reviews have 5-star ratings and you’ve received at least one review in the past three months.

To be eligible to earn any of these badges, you must also meet the orders, sales, and shop tenure requirements: 10 orders and $300 in sales (before shipping and taxes) within the three month review period. Been on Etsy’s platform for 90 days since your first sale.

*Tracking is part of the shipping criteria if you’re a seller in the US or your shop currency is set to USD. If you’re outside of the US or use a shop currency other than USD, find out how we determine the shipping data for your country here.

What’s next

Customer service badges will be awarded today, based on your shop’s performance as of April 1. Check out your Star Seller dashboard to see your progress toward earning badges. Badges will be visible to most sellers, and we’ll be testing them with about half of shoppers on Etsy. If we decide to launch these badges to all shoppers we’ll be sure to let you know!
