I first launched this simple kit for kids but then it became obvious that anyone new to make cheese also enjoyed it as a first step into cheesemaking. It is a fun and easy kit to give out as small but unique gift. It makes a great addition to a cheese and wine basket or a cute host gift when you visit a friend for dinner.

Because you will have ready to eat cheese in 20-30 minutes it's very doable and fun for an interactive wine and cheese party with friends, or a relaxed date night at home.

It's a small box with a lot of power in the simple ingredients. Don't let its light weight fool you! It is simple by design to avoid overwhelm.

Perhaps the best part is that you can make 4 different batches so you can experiment with your favorite herbs and spices. A unique activity with a delicious result!

More about the cheeses:
Fresh Farmers Cheese is a mild fresh cheese (like the soft mozzarella in brine) and can be used as tender crumbles on tomatoes, tacos, salads and bowls of chili - you can even shape it into a little wheel using a ramekin or cupcake tin and enjoy it with fruit and crackers. It's lovely drizzled with honey and edible flowers.

Ricotta is luscious and creamy so it's great for simple veggie dips (your choice of herbs), on pancakes and ricotta toast but you can always get fancy with cannoli and lasagna.

What you need:
Simply add milk and typical kitchen equipment (pot, colander, spoon, measuring cups and spoons). Follow the instructions and in less than 30 minutes you will be eating and sharing your own homemade, wholesome cheese!

Common pasteurized store-bought milk or raw farm-fresh milk both work - do not use ultra-pasteurized or UHT, ultra-heat pasteurized milk.

Quantity:
Kit makes 4 batches of cheese. Batches weigh about a 1/2 lb. You'll have plenty of supplies to experiment with different herbs, spices and wheel shapes.

Box Size:
Our kit measures 5 in. x 5 in. x 2". Small but mighty (like me :) and fits great in gift bags and baskets!

Dietary guidelines:
This kit is gluten-free, vegetarian and keto. No dairy is actually included.

Shelf life:
2 years in a cool dry pantry, no refrigeration needed.
